How many bikes is too many bikes?
Today I received and “built up” a 2023 Canyon Grail AL 7. Outside of a minor FedEx shipping kerfuffle, it was a pretty awesome D2C experience with Canyon. I use quotes around “built up” because there is very little maintenance required, outside of installing the seat post, handlebars, setting up the Sram eTap Bluetooth connection, and throwing on the front wheel. The bike came tubeless ready with DT Swiss tape and presta tubeless valves.
I went with the size Medium as Canyon geometry leans on the larger side. Compared to the 58cm Cannondale Synapse, the top tube on the Medium Grail frame is only 2mm shorter than that of the Synapse in size 58.
It’s a rainy couple of days in NYC but looking forward to putting many miles on this all terrain rocket ship very soon.
